Cal Poly graphic communication students were the 2016 overall champions for their point of purchase (POP) display, wedge-shaped beverage container, and shrink sleeve at the Phoenix Challenge Flexo Packaging Competition.

Cal Poly Alumnus Paul Cousineau Received Prestigious TAGA Michael H. Bruno Award

Paul Cousineau (Graphic Communication, ’85) was in the first student chapter of the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA) while an undergraduate at Cal Poly in 1985. This year he won the association’s highest honor, the Michael H. Bruno Award, one of the most prestigious in the graphic communication industry.

English Professor’s Poem Read on National Radio Show

Adjunct Professor of English Lisa Coffman’s poem “Everybody Made Soups” was recently read on The Writer’s Almanac with Garrison Keillor. Authors submit published books of poetry to the show for a chance to have a poem read on air. Coffman’s poem was selected from her book “Less Obvious Gods.”

A gift from a generous donor kick-started construction plans for an exciting new building that will place Cal Poly liberal arts under the same roof as science, mathematics and agriculture. The new facility will house the Expressive Technology Studios, a physical space dedicated to developing the educational intersection between technology, humanity and the arts.
