Psychology Major Organizes TEDx Event

Last fall, fourth-year psychology major Cameron Wiese co-organized Cal Poly's first TedX event, TedXCalPoly 2016, which featured talks from Cal Poly students and professors, as well as a host of other accomplished individuals from across the country. Speakers presented to a sold-out audience in the Performing Arts Center on campus.

Cal Poly Art Gallery to Feature Retrospective of Michael Miller Jan. 12 – Feb. 10

Cal Poly's University Art Gallery is proud to present the work of Michael Miller, former Art and Design Department faculty member. In 2012, Miller was diagnosed with brain cancer, and over the next two years, the tumor affected the area of the brain responsible for language, yet he continued to draw and paint with great detail. Miller passed away in 2014. These never-before-exhibited sketchbooks will be on view during this time.
The University Art Gallery is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The gallery is located in the Dexter Building (No. 34). More information here.
