Cal Poly PRSSA to Host First Annual Career Fair
Cal Poly’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) will hold the club’s first annual career fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, in the Performing Arts Center Lobby.
Ten local communication-oriented companies will be in attendance, including KSBY, Barnett Cox and Associates, Rosetta, The Tribune, MINDBODY, Bhava Communications, PRP Companies, PG&E, StudioGood and the SLO Job Center.
A panel discussion will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. with professionals from the select companies represented at the event. Attendees will be able to ask questions about the panelists’ background and learn how the professionals got to where they are today.
The career fair is a chance for students to network, find internships and jobs, and learn how professionals in the industry began their career.
While the fair is oriented toward journalism, graphic communication, business administration and communication studies students, all Cal Poly students are welcome to attend. Students are encouraged to dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resumes.
