Faculty Chamber Recital Set for April 4
The Cal Poly Music Department will present a faculty chamber recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, in the Davidson Music Center (Building 45), Room 218, on campus.
This marks the fourth year of chamber recitals in which faculty join forces to perform masterworks of chamber music — both beloved gems and lesser-known works.
The concert will begin with Edward Elgar's "Sea Pictures," performed by Jacalyn Kreitzer, mezzo-soprano, and Paul Woodring, piano.
The second half of the concert will feature music of the 20th century. Paul Severtson will perform Burr van Nostrand's "Phaedra Antinomaes," a work that explores the musical and technical boundaries of the violin.
The concert will conclude with a jazz set, performed by Paul Rinzler on piano, Aaron Wolf on saxophone and music major Troy Hanson on bass.
