Luz Calvo: ‘Decolonize Your Diet’

Luz Calvo, professor of ethnic studies at CSU East Bay, will present her talk “Decolonize Your Diet”, which redefines what is meant by “traditional” Mexican food by reaching back through hundreds of years of history to reclaim heritage crops as a source of protection from modern diseases.

2016 Academy of American Poets Contest Now Open
The English Department’s 2016 Academy of American Poets contest is now open. All registered Cal Poly students are eligible to enter and the winning student will receive a $100 cash prize. Students may submit up to three poems totaling no more than 150 lines by Thursday, May 12 at 4 p.m. Learn more here.
