Keep them COMMUNICATING
We run one of California's most ambitious undergraduate journalism programs, and every part of it depends on students doing the real work. Your gift pays for the cameras, the conference travel, the scholarships and the airtime that turn a first-year student into someone a newsroom wants to hire.
Give once or set up a recurring gift by credit card or bank account. To direct your gift to a specific fund, name it in the designated field.
Journalism Endowment
The principal stays invested and the earnings go to work every year, funding conference travel, classroom technology and department events.
Mustang Media Group
Keeps Mustang News publishing running and helps students learn deadline reporting the only way anyone ever has.
KCPR-FM
Licensed, student run and on the air 24 hours a day. Your gift covers transmitter upkeep, studio gear and the music library.
Jim Hayes Scholarship Endowment
Scholarships for upper-division and graduate students, named for a longtime professor who mentored hundreds of working journalists.
George Ramos Scholarship for Journalism Excellence
Supports juniors and seniors focused on print reporting, named for the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who taught here for years.
General Department Support
Unrestricted funds we can put to work this semester, on whatever our students need most right now, from repairs to travel.
