This course focuses on the first third of an introduction to
basic Spanish language. This means that the course will cover one third of
elementary Spanish grammar as set out by all collegiate Spanish textbooks.
The methodology is both eclectic and based on the latest theories of
communicative competence.
The primary goal, above all, is to enrich our lives here and now
in California. Therefore, the focus balances theoretical knowledge about
the grammar of the Spanish language on the one hand with direct
classroom experience learning how to speak the language.
