Bio: Recent
I'm an Associate Professor (with tenure) in
the Philosophy
Department at Cal
Poly, which is located
on California's beautiful Central
Coast (halfway between
San Francisco and Los Angeles) in San
Luis Obispo, which was recently rated
the third best place to live in America.
During my 2009-10 sabbatical leave, I was a Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Rochester. I am married
to the lovely Sigrid, with whom I have two children.
When I'm not doing philosophy, I enjoy
hanging with the family at the beach, fishing, ball
sports (baseball, basketball, football, tennis), listening
to music, good eats & drinks with friends, making wine with colleagues, and managing
the Chocolate Chimps (the best fantasy baseball franchise
on our dear planet).
