ANT-309 Elements of Archaeology

January 17 Field Trip

Please meet outside of the Performing Arts Building parking lot at 10:00. We will be leaving no later than 10:15 so please get there on time.

We will be traveling to a piece of State Park property north of the town of Cayucos on Highway 1.

Directions:

Exit Cal Poly on to Highland Drive and turn right onto Highway 1

(Santa Rosa St.) Travel approximately 16 miles north

on Highway 1 to Cayucos. Stay on Highway 1 and travel approximately

north of town to San Geronimo Road (on right). The last marked Exit in Cayucos is labeled “Frontage Road.”  You travel 0.6 miles north past that exit.

Pull off on left into large dirt parking area . On the west side of the Highway. Be careful

turning left across traffic. Park and wait. Please note that I show a star on the west side of San Geronimo Creek- but the parking area is actually on the east side.
