CARPOOLING IS HIGHLY ADVISED

Avila Beach tends to be quite crowded on Friday nights due to the fish/ farmers market. Parking is available all around town and along Front Street. Various lots may charge (~$1). Because parking is limited, and some people will be bussing or taking the train to SLO so won't have a way to Avila, we advise everyone to carpool where possible. If you need a ride, or have space in a car, please email srucas@calpoly.edu and I'll begin a link so that people can meet/match up.

Back by popular demand, the Friday Opening Reception is a great opportunity to reconnect with others and forge new cross-disciplinary relationships.

 

 

Avila Beach is famous for it's Fish and Farmers Market. Located one block from our host bungalow adjacent to Mr. Ricks Saloon along Front Street and the Pier. Market hours are 4-8pm. Live music scheduled for Fri. April 30th "Lenny Blue and the Otter Guys" (Blues/Rock)

 

Avila Valley Barn, located a 1/4 mile from 101 on Avila Beach Drive is a popular place to stop and browse for fresh produce, sweets, pies and other goodies. 9-6pm
