"According to the United States Geological Survey's 1999 report, The Quality of Our Nation's Waters, chlorpyrifos [Lorsban]is the third most frequently detected insecticide in streams in urban areas. EPA's action to severely curtail the urban use of this pesticide should significantly improve urban stream quality and reduce risk to fish and other aquatic life."
