Ten Commandments for the Selection of a Mate
What you are comes not from your own accomplishments, but entirely from your Volk. Whether you like it or not, you belong to the Volk; because you arise from it. Therefore, in everything you do, think whether it is advantageous for the Volk. The general good comes before the individual good.
All of the characteristics of your body and mind are transitory. They are an inheritance, a gift of your forebears. They live on in you as an unbroken chain. Whoever, without good reason, remains single, breaks this chain of the species. – Your life is only transitory; the kinship group and the Volk live on. Spiritual and corporeal inheritance celebrates resurrection in children. Spiritual and bodily ancestry celebrate their resurrection in children.
Inheritance, that is the inheritance by blood, is everything that has been passed on in the process of procreation in the way of physical, intellectual and spiritual characteristics by ones ancestors. In the case of most of these characteristics, only a few can appear in the life of a single individual. But he passes them on to his offspring in whom they are again embodied. Therefore, it goes on forever.
Preserve what has been passed on to you by pure parents in order to be able to serve your Volk. Guard yourself against playing around with your body in a capricious or aimless way. The pleasure of the moment can permanently destroy your health and your genetic legacy, a curse on you, on your children and grandchildren. That which you demand of your future partner, you must also demand of yourself. Think that you are a German ancestor.
Preserve your own natural talents and be what they permit you to become. Keep distant from your spirit and soul, everything that is alien to your being, what repulses you, whatever your conscience forbids. Too much attention to money, property, to rapid advancement or to pleasure often leads one to forget this.
Be true to yourself and above all to your future partner. Happiness built on lies quickly falls into ruins. That which you demand of your partner, you must also fulfill.
Wherever there are similar natural tendencies, there will be equanimity. When unequal races mix, there is turmoil. The mixing of races that are unsuitable to each other (bastardization) leads in the life of both individuals and peoples to degeneration and downfall; the less that the racial characteristics are appropriate to each other, the more rapidly this occurs. Guard yourself against degeneracy, avoid people of alien, non-European racial origin. Happiness is only possible with people of similar characteristics.
You do not just marry your spouse, but also to a degree his ancestors. Valuable descendants are only to be expected from worthwhile ancestors. Gifts of understanding and of the soul are just as much inherited as are eye and hair color. Poor traits are inherited just as much as good ones. A good human being can carry the core (racial legacy) of what will lead to misfortune in his children. Therefore, never marry the only good person from a bad family.
Whoever takes a close look at parents and relatives will recognize many dangers. If your are unsure, ask for a genetic-racial family tree, discuss this with a physician who knows about matters of racial health or go to an Advisory Center for Inheritance and Racial Preservation or to the Reich Committee for Service to the Health of the Volk, Berlin,W. 62 Einemstr. 11.
There is nothing more precious in the world than cells of noble blood; ruined cellular material can not be made good.
Health is the best protection for eternal happiness; for it is a necessity for beauty and spiritual well-being. Demand of your future partner, that he have himself medically checked out for the ability to perform in a marriage, as you should do yourself.
Money is transitory wealth and does not make one eternally happy. Wherever the spiritual spark of life is lacking, a good marriage cannot arise. Richness of the heart and of the soul is the best protection for eternal happiness.
Therefore, do not love blindly, but rather conscious of your responsibility. A transitory intoxication of the senses is not real love.
Marriage is not passing play between two human beings, but a permanent bond, that is of deep significance for the individuals as it is for the whole Volk. The meaning of the marriage is the child and the rearing of that child.
This lofty goal can be achieved only by spiritually, bodily and racially similar people and blesses the individuals as well as their Volk; for each race has its own soul. Only equal souls can understand each other.
Too great a difference in age between partners endangers balance in a marriage.
The existence of the Volk can be insured only by having three or four children. Only in the case of large numbers of children will all the talents of the race have the opportunity to appear in their largest number and multifaceted character. No child is the same as another. Each child inherits different characteristics from his forebears. Many valuable children increase the worth of a Volk and are the most certain defense of its survival. You will pass on, but what you give to your children remains; in them you celebrate resurrection. Your Volk will live forever!
This document comes from pgs. 11-14 of Hausbuch fuer die deutsche Familie. Berlin: Verlag fuer Standesamtswesen, G.m.b.h. S.W, undated. It was a cookbook, marriage and child-rearing guide. A second-cousin of mine in Germany told me she had came across it in her mothers possessions. As she understands it, her mother was given this along with a copy of Hilter’s Mein Kampf at the time of her wedding in 1937. A Subsequent section of the book is entitled "Mother and Child" and is divided into the following Chapters, Superior Court President, Dr. Alexander Bergmann, "The Legal Aspects of the Marriage," pgs. 63-68, Elisabeth von Barsewisch, "The Sense of a German Marriage," pgs. 68-71, Court Assessor Hansjoachim Lemme, "On the Law for the Protection of the Genetic Health of the German Volk," 73-75, Independent Lecturer Dr. Erich Murr, "Marriage and Heredity," pgs. 76-80, Prof. M.D. Hermann Boehm, "On the Law for the Protection against genetically damaged Offspring," 83-88, Court Assessor Hansjoachim Lemme, "On the Law for the Protection of German Blood and German Honor," pgs. 88-90. I have photocopied pages of the above material, but unfortunately do not have a citation for the book from which they were copied.
1. Volk means people, but in the sense of a culturally, linguistically, ethnically united community.
