Here was where the councils of state and finance met. Typically with Louis in attendance. Although bourgeoisie did not live at court, they came here to present request to the king and his advisors. See the description by St. Simon in Wiesner, Ruff and Wheeler, p 52. What does Source # 4 on page 54 tell us about the nature of the meetings that took place in this room?
