PSY 429 Experimental Psychology
Experimental Dilemma # 6
Answer
Disagree, at least based on the data provided. We need to know what the false alarm rates were for these two conditions. A false alarm would be responding "touch" when no pressure was applied. Without the false alarm rates it is impossible to determine which group is more sensitive. What if the false alarm rate for the extroverts was 50% but for the introverts it was only 1%. What would the conclusions be then?
