1. Can there be said to be one "American Culture?"
2. Can a certain ethnic group be said to have a culture and/or can a certain culture be said to be comprised exclusively of a certain ethnic group? If so, give examples.
3. Name the attributes which, in your opinion, can be used to define sub-cultures in a so-called multicultural society such as the US. Race? Ethnicity? Age? Sex? "Lifestyle?" Socioeconomic class? Others?
4. Which countries, if any, can be said to have one culture?
5. How can we refer accurately and with respect to the so-called American Indians?

9. When asked for their "ethnicity," some have begun classifying themselves--for purposes of the census, employment, school, etc.--as "human beings." Is this OK?

11. Who is a "white person?" What do you make of the fact that approximately 50% of persons who might otherwise be classified as Hispanic, Latino, Chicana, Puerto Rican, Cuban, etc. classify themselves as white?
