CULTURAL DIVERSITY
Ethnocentrism - belief that the norms
and values of one’s own culture are superior to those of others and to
use these norms as a standard in evaluating other cultures.

Cultural Relativism - the belief that there is no universal standard of right and wrong and that an aspect of any culture can be judged only within its own context.
Subcultures - distinct groups with different values and practices from the majority.
Countercultures -
distinct groups with values and practices that are opposite from the majority.
