Teaching Resources

I have been interested in sharing resources on teaching with others, especially the development of curriculum through syllabi. One way of doing that is through the American Sociological Association and another is through putting syllabi materials on the web. My website has been used by Prof. J. Sudano of Kent State, Ohio in developing his course website. If anyone is interested in having me work with them to create teaching web pages, please contact me at 805-756-2729 or at the email address given below.

"Gender and Sex Roles, course syllabus," in The Sociology of Sex and Gender: Syllabi and Teaching Materials, ed. Virginia Powell, American Sociological Association. Teaching Resources Center, Washington DC, 1990.
This past year I have been working with the San Luis Obispo County Schools to prepare teachers for an exchange with Tianjin, China. I have also taught a workshop on teaching about Japan for the Lucia Mar District with a grant from the Association for Asian Studies and have provided a special series of courses on teaching about Japan through the Cal Poly Summer session. If anyone is interested in working with me to develop similar projects, please contact me at: bmori@calpoly.edu
