Meditation and Buddhist Instruction

For those of you who are interested in learning more about Buddhism and its practice s the White Heron Sangha (click for homepage) is a group which meets for meditation in San Luis obispo. Visitors are welcome. Beginning meditation instruction is provided for those who would like to learn more about how to meditate.
 
 

The Sangha meets on Sundays at the Avila Temple in San Luis Obispo. The first Sunday of the month begins with a precept reading from 5:40.  Beginning meditation instruction is also offered during the month.  At 6:00 meditation begins and is followed by a sharing of announcements and events.  A program follows which may include a  Dharma talk by various guest speakers or tapes and videos.  The program varies from week to week.

 
 
 
 

The White Heron Sangha is a Buddhist meditation group. It is not affiliated with any single Buddhist teacher or group but has loose ties to a number of other organizations including Thich Nhat Hanh’s Community of Mindful Living, Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Mount Baldy Zen Center and U Niminda Bhikku’s Paso Robles meditation group..

 
 

Wear loose clothing. There is no fee but a donation is appreciated.
