Choose oneof the ethnic groups we are studying in this course and two of the topics shown below select 5 web sites for each topic (total of 10 web sites) from among the web sites you have found on that topic and write a website evaluation report.

The purpose of this assignment is to help you develop a method for taking notes of websites that provides information about the site and the contents.  In evaluating the validity and usefulness of a site, certain kinds of information are necessary.  You have learned how to do this for books and also journal articles.  Now you will learn how to do it for websites.  This information is important in helping you decide which websites provide valuable information on topics you have chosen.  So this is meant to be in an outline form so you can easily find the information relevant to each area.  Don't write paragraphs.  Then you will have a record of the sites you have visited and won't have to look them up each time to find out if they are useful sites or not.

Use the website evaluation guide provided for writing your report.

• conflicts with other groups
• acts of prejudice, discrimination or bigotry (hate groups)
• media (T.V., cinema, radio, press) presentations of the group

Write a report of your search into one group and 2 topics. Type, single space (12 point font). Your should be able to find at least 5 sites for each topic (10 total). Be sure to include the name of the browser, websites found (cite the URL for each site), chat groups found (cite the URL for each site) and evaluate the quality of the sources you discovered.

Your paper is similar to an annotated bibliography and must be done in the outline form below:

C.  Comments  Your impressions of the site and its strengths and weaknesses.  Do not compare it to other web pages.
