Words Often Misused:

attitude - position toward an idea, group, or action; orientaation; state of mind about a person, or situation

think - to exercise the power of reason, produce an idea.

feel - emotion - a feeling (sad, happy, fear, hatred)

believe - to accept as true, without question.

opine (opinion) - a judgement of the value of something, a conclusion.

These words do not mean the same thing so do not use them as if they do.

class -  This is an economic ranking and the term is most frequently used for stratified societies that are closed, where there is little mobility between groups.  Upper class (aristocracy) - inherited wealth, land owners, Middle class - commercial, professional source of wealth (includes factory owners, business owners, clergy, lawyers, teachers), Lower class (working class) - manual labor (agricultural and industrial), Under class - unemployable, poor
 

The U.S. has an open system and a modified version of this term is used.  U.S. class.

status - ranking in society 1) ascribed - assigned at birth, e.g. gender, age, ethnic background
2) achieved - attained by the person through his or her own effort, e.g. president, executive, college graduate

socio-economic status - a combination of wealth, power, education, occupation and lifestyle to situate a person in their society. This is the way people are ranked in the US.

ignore - to disregard deliberately, pay no attention to, refuse to consider.

ignorant - lack of knowledge or education, unawareness, result of ignoring.
