In Reader II The Ethnic Detectives , read: "The Chinese Detective," "The Filipino Detective," "The Indian Detective," "The French Detective," "The Japanese Detective, "The Tahitian Detective," and "The Pakistani /Bahranian Detective."

Write a five-page (5) paper which defines and discusses the concept of ethnicity as described in the course.

Clearly indicate what is the definition of ethnicity. This is core to your paper. Make sure I can find it easily. Use the stories to illustrate your definition [DON'T just repeat the stories!!], and discuss the issues concerning ethnic relations (you must identify these) that appear.

As the plot of the mystery story, the basic genre, is quite similar, we can see beyond it to explore the way in which ethnicity is presented in the stories.
