One of the questions that often arises is: What determines who we are? Where does our identity come from. We are going to explore this in class through the use of this exercise.

Make 3 lists: 1)  words that tell me who I am (e.g. student, son, wife)
                        I am a                       .

                    2)  the things you like to do (e.g. listen to music)
                           I like to                           .

                    3)  the aspects you like the most about yourself. (e.g. the color of my eyes), not only physical traits
                            I like                              about myself.

Be specific! Approximately 5- 10 items. Bring to class for discussion on the second class meeting.
