1. At the beginning of the class you will turn in a paper with a one-paragraph statement of your position on each of the issues above.
2. For each of these issues you are to turn in a review paper in which you answer the questions given below. This is not an essay, answer question by question and article by article in each question. This is a critical thinking exercise.

Your grade is based on how fully but succinctly you answer the questions and how well you express your opinion.
In class, you will discuss the topic in a
small group with your classmates. Your grade will be based on 3 papers, one
for each issue for a total of 15 points
(5 points for each paper, 4 for the paper and 1 for participation in the
discussion in class). The paper is to be typed, single space, about 2-3 pages in length and you are discussing.
