The John and Mae Esterline Prize is a prize given to recognize graduate student scholarship.It is open to open to all students pursuing graduate studies in any discipline, at any American university and in any area of research pertaining to Asian Studies. The scholarship is awarded to students who will be presenting papers at the annual ASPAC Meeting and is contingent upon presentation at the ASPAC meeting. The awards will be given at the meeting. |
| To apply for the scholarship
email your paper for consideration by the scholarship committee to Dr. Tsuneo Akaha takaha@miis.edu. Your paper must be in
a microsoft word program that can be downloaded easily. Your
paper must be between 15-20 pages in regular academic format. No power
point or slide presentations or other formats will be accepted. Currently
there are two awards: First Place and Second Place . You do not have
to be attending a university in the ASPAC area to apply but you do have to
attend the ASPAC meeting and present your paper to receive the award.
