 Theatre Major Wins Young Scholar Award


 Theatre Major Gabbie Koizumi and Dance Minor, Misty Moyle win awards from Cal Poly Arts.
 Gabbie received her award for Service to the Arts and Misty received her award for  Excellence in Original Work for interpretive dance. 

Theatre major Gabbie Koizumi has won the 2013 Young Scholar's Award in the Undergraduate Category for the Southeastern Theatre          conference (SETC) with her paper, Living through Lucy: An Analysis of "Lucy Long" and the Song's Social Implications in Antebellum America, which she wrote for TH 320: Black Theatre class Spring quarter 2012.

Norm Tiber passing - March 28, 2014

The Department is deeply saddened by our beloved faculty member Norm Tiber. Norm taught Ballroom Dance, Tango and International Folk Dance. He will be greatly missed.

Open House 2014
April 10, 11, 12

All CLA Majors meet with Dean Douglas L. Epperson, Associate Dean for Student Success - Penny Bennet, Faculty and Students,  Friday April 11 @ 1 - 2:15 p.m. Bldg 6, Rm. 101(Performing Arts Center, Harman Hall). 

Professor Josh Machamer will pick up admitted Theatre students in the (Performing Arts Center, Harman Hall) @ 2:15 p.m on Friday April 11 and will escort them back to the Theatre Open House meeting in Bldg 45, Rm #212, 2:15 - 4:00 p.m.

A self-generated, Cabaret style, Collective exhibition, harkening back to the days of Le Chat Noir and its progression into the now…utilizing a mixture of dance, dialogue, music and movement.

Directed by Professor, Christy McNeil.
