Opportunities to Get Involved
Network with Students
There are many ways that alumni can provide support and information to current and graduating Political Science majors:

• Send us information about an internship or job opportunity at your agency or company.
• Provide your email address if you are willing to have graduating seniors contact you for information and direction about entering your occupation.
• Contact Jean Williams, Department Chair at jemwilli@calpoly.edu if you have other ideas about how to support students.

Join the Department's Advisory Board
If you would like to work more closely with the department, please consider joining the Department's Advisory Board. This is an alumni board that works with the department on such issues as student excellence and faculty professional development. We would appreciate your input and assistance. If you are interested in serving, please contact Jean Williams, Department Chair, at jemwilli@calpoly.edu.

Give a Gift to the Political Science Department
The state provides minimal support, and it is important for the Department to seek external funds for recruitment efforts, faculty development, student support, and student clubs.
