2016 BFA Show Thursday June 2nd 5pm

Please join us in the University Art Gallery for the opening reception of the 2016 BFA show, titled “Gallimaufry (a confused mixture),” on Thursday June 2nd from 5-8pm.

The well-chosen title for this year’s show describes the range of materials and processes used by this graduating class most suitably; Wet-plate photography as well as digital prints coated in resin. Paintings made with wood stain, oil sticks and mineral spirits, watercolors, oil paint, and acrylic on glass. Jewelry made from wood and copper. Sculpture made of cast zinc, ceramic, colored resin and even wearable sculpture including a mirrored corset. Every piece is well crafted and entirely unique. This years show is one not to miss!

The University Art Gallery is free and open to the public during the normal gallery hours of 11-4 Tues. – Sat. until the 11th of June. The gallery will also be open Sunday the 12th from 11-2 for the Art and Design graduation ceremony.
