CLA Ambassadors host Liberal Arts Week
Liberal Arts Week is an annual event hosted by the College of Liberal Arts as well as its student ambassadors and student council. The goal of Liberal Arts Week is to promote the CLA and celebrate its unique contributions at Cal Poly. The series of events will take place February 13-16. The events are free and all Cal Poly students are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Modern Languages & Literatures Professor Receives MLA Recognition
Brian Kennelly, professor in the Modern Languages and Literatures Department, was recognized for "distinguished contributions made as a fellow to the 'MLA International Bibliography (2008-11)' " at the MLA Annual Convention in Seattle on Jan. 7, 2012.

The most recent volumn of the History Department student journal, "The Forum", received 2nd prize (print version) in the 2011 Gerald D. Nash History Journal Award category given by the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society national headquarters.
