Richard Keller Simon Faculty Recognition Awards
Nominations are now open for the Richard K. Simon Faculty Recognition Awards. Deadline to submit nomitions to the CLA Dean's office is Friday, May 4, 2012.
Each year the College of Liberal Arts selects an outstanding faculty member for special recognition in each of three categories:
- Outstanding Teaching
- Outstanding Scholarship or Creative Activity
- Outstanding Service
Winners of these awards will be formerly acknolwedged at the annual CLA End-of Year Reception on May 31, 2012.
To make a nomination, please submit a 1-page memo (max) and attach your nominee's abbreviated vita (may be available through the dean's office). Additional information (or nominations) may be included, but is not required.
Eligibility:
Faculty who are employed at least half time in a teaching position in the college are eligible for consideration. (All members of the faculty are eligible to nominate peers.)
Selection:
The CLA College Council, made up of chairs and program directors, reviews the nominations and selects the winners.
