Performance Tips

How well your web page performs is dependent on many variables, i.e. the end user's computer and browser speeds; your html code's efficiency; size, type and number of files that will need to be delivered; efficiency of browser plug-ins; server speed; network bandwidth; name server lookup speed; and router speeds. Some of these you don't have control over, others you do.

Here are some suggestions that will help provide a faster response to your user:

To get and keep your users attention, pages need to load in less than 13.8 seconds
Include width and height settings for all images
Select features and plug-ins based on "best-fit" for there use, not because it's new
Compress files to reduce their size and use less bandwidth (small file = less to download)
Use the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid)
