ANXIETY

 

If you are experiencing general anxiety about a forthcoming test or paper, please take a deep breath, wipe the sweat off your palms, and try to figure out the causes. Are you prepared? Have you put off working on the project until the last minute? You should at the very least understand the assignment clearly. If you are confused about any aspect of the assignment, please send me an e mail, or ask a question at the end of the next class meeting.

If you are experiencing general anxiety about life in general, breathe in and out slowly, and read the following:

Anxiety can be defined as a state of apprehension, foreboding,or tension. When you are anxious, you anticipate negative events happening to you in the near future. You experience higher than normal levels of stress and pressure. Physical symptoms include a higher state than normal of emotional arousal.

Learn how to relax. Don't anticipate. Stay in the present. See a therapist if the problem persists.
