Internships Job Description: CCIS is a repository for Archaeological and Ethnographic collections on the central coast. They manage archeological survey and site data for SLO and SB counties. They provide information to government agencies, developers, and archeologists who need to do record searches on known archeological sites. CCIS is in the process of digitizing, scanning, and mapping the data, so work on these tasks is also needed.
Training Offered: Interns are able to learn much about archeological research and report writing while working on the job.
Required experience, knowledge or other requirements: General knowledge in Anthropology and Geography useful. Mapping and GIS knowledge desirable, but not required.
