Forgive my immodesty, but I like this solo too much to resist.
As part of a private improvisation lesson, I gave a student the assignment of transcribing one of his own solos. He later said he learned much from it. The next shoe to drop was for me to transcribe and analyze one of my own solos.
There was ever only one candidate for the first solo of myself that I would transcribe: two Bb blues choruses recorded in a club (I don't remember which one) in Kyoto, Japan, in 1982.
